Hospital Information
 During your hospital stay at Women and Children's Hospital, you will be cared for by nursing staff trained in the care of a bariatric patient. While your comfort level may be increased by having a family stay with you during this time, it is not necessary as you will have constant care provided to you.
Your length of stay will depend on your recovery after the surgery. Typical stay for Gastric Bypass is 3 days, Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy 1-2 days and LapBand is usually 3 - 24 hours.
