Meet the Doctor
Dr. Keith Chung is a graduate of Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Once completing Medical School in 1993, he went on to pursue an internship and residency in General Surgery at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. He is a Board Certified General and Bariatric Surgeon, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeon (FACS).
Settling in Lake Charles in 1998, Dr. Chung has worked extensively with Women & Children’s Hospital to create a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary team of Bariatric Professionals. Dr. Chung is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. The Obesity Surgery Center of Louisiana has also been designated as the Center of Excellence (COE) by the American Society of Bariatric surgery (ASBS)
